Here are 5 things you may find interesting, intriguing, stupid or worthwhile.
Review them, try them, just let me know what you think…
*Exercise I’m doing
Dive Bomber Push-Ups (no, that’s not me this time)
I’m still doing variations of 10-10-3 (10 push ups, 10 air squats, 3 pull ups) every minute for 30 minutes. I bring variety and substitute different types of push ups, perhaps an ab routine instead of squats. Just keeping things interesting.
*Book I’m reading…
OVERDELIVER by Brian Kurtz. It’s about building a direct marketing business and filled with industry insights. Brian is one of the legends in direct marketing, and this book asks the question; if you’re going to share your message others, why not share it with millions.
*What I’m watching…
Close Retention Shooting Drills
Parker Fawbush is one of the best pistol instructors I’ve ever seen. And for anyone familiar with this type, he’s incredibly fast. If you’re into this type of training, he’s incredibly fast. Oh, and he’s a Preacher too.
*Technique I’ve been practicing…
How to Reverse-sear a Steak
Wow. That’s what my family said when I cook a big juicy ribeye using this technique. It was so popular, I experimented with T-bones and roasts, and kept getting “wows” from the family.
*Quote I’m pondering…
“The deepest urge in human nature is the desire to be important.”
~ Professor John Dewey
That’s it for this issue of 5-Star Friday.
