Here are 5 things you may find interesting, intriguing or worthwhile. Review them, try them, just let me know what you think…
*Workout of the Week…
5 X Upper Body Exercises
5 X Lower Body Exercises
3 X Core Exercises
2 X Miscellaneous Exercises
Still doing this. I was asked what the exercises are;
Upper: Dive-bomber, Close-in, Deep, Diamond, Frog – all push-ups.
Lower: Air squat, Iron Mike’s, Falling tower, Karate, Bear
Core: Dolphin, V-Up, Side-plank.
Misc: Gracie, Mountain Climbers
One-time through, maximum reps for each, then immediately to next exercise. Takes me about 20 minutes of fun.
*Book I’m reading…
BUY THEN BUILD by Walker Deibel
“How Acquisition Entrepreneurs Outsmart the Startup Game.” I love the premise of this book. Being a veteran of four startups, I’m not in a hurry to get into another, and if there is a way to avoid that initial pain, I’m interested.
*Software I’m Enjoying…
One of the biggest challenges for me to write consistently was having software that worked with me. An MS Word document makes it hard because I have to scroll up and down to find what I want. Evernote wasn’t much better and is so hard to export information. I’ve been using Scrivener for a couple of years, and it makes organizing my writing so easy. Regardless of your field, you can benefit from; 1) writing consistently, 2) using Scrivener.
*Newsletter I’ve been enjoying…
I’ve been a subscriber for about two years now. Paul Rosenberg’s weekly emails and monthly newsletters are some of the most thought-provoking on the Internet. The closest I can explain is that it’s like getting emails and newsletters from John Galt. If you don’t know who John Galt is, please stop everything and read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.
*Quote I’m pondering…
“Be strong in the Lord, and in His Mighty Power.” ~ Ephesians 6:10
That’s it for this issue of 5-Star Friday.
