What I’m listening to…
Workout with the Running Cadences of US Recon Marines – I have many fond memories of running to cadence..and some not so fun, but I have to admit, listening to a good “Jody” gets me motivated. I can’t help to feel ten feet tall and bulletproof. Give it a try, you may find yourself standing a little straighter and copping a kick-butt attitude.
The workout I’ve been doing…
10-10-3 (and sometimes 10-10-10-3) – Last week I mentioned this workout and I’m still doing it every other day. I’m also doing 30-45 minutes of indoor bike trainer on Tue/Thu/Sat with an emphasis on short, high-intensity sprinting. I do something everyday. The daily habit is key.
The habit I’m refining…
Watch Challenge – I say refining because I haven’t been consistent in applying it. I have committed to waking up by 5:15 a.m. every morning. I post a picture of my watch face on my Facebook Group “Practical Masculinity” every morning with a note. The three things I’m doing first thing in the morning are 1) wake up by 5:15 a.m., 2) make my bed, do the 7-Minute workout (this is a warm up and not my main exercise each day). I highly recommend doing something each day, even if it’s just the 7-Minute Workout.
