You may be like me, and do what you do to change lives…those of your clients, and your own.
For me, it’s about helping Grow You and Your Business.
But there’s more to it, isn’t there?
There’s a desire to help others less fortunate than yourself. I know it’s true for me. There are causes to fight, people to stick up for, and people to look after. Voluntarily.
Water is one of those passions for me. Making safe drinking water accessible to as many people on the planet as possible.
When you understand the access to safe drinking water is not just about access to water, but to ‘safe water’ it hits a lot closer to home.
To see the toxins in MY drinking water is downright scary. While some toxins are more harmful than others, arsenic, fluoride and chlorine present the greatest risk of harm for you and I.
An extremely toxic heavy metal, arsenic in tap water poses grave potential health concerns.
Your Water First
Just like on a flight, the flight attendant advises you to put on your oxygen mask first in an emergency, is how I look at access to safe drinking water. I need to do it first.
My family uses Berkey Water filters in our showers and to filter the contaminates out of our tap water.
With a family of six, we go through over 5 gallons of filtered water per day. We use filtered water to cook, fill up water bottles when we go out, and to take baths. We fill the tub from the shower head – that has the filter – to ensure no toxins enter through the skin, your largest organ.
Water.org is an international nonprofit organization that has positively transformed millions of lives around the world through access to safe water and sanitation — giving hope, health and the opportunity for a bright future.
One of the major barriers to safe water and sanitation is affordable financing. They address this barrier head-on through access to small, easily repayable loans. Every repaid loan creates a new opportunity for another family.
By supporting Water.org, you are part of a solution that reaches more people, faster.
Together with their 113 partners around the world, they’ve helped mobilize more than $1.7 billion in capital to support small loans that bring access to safe water and sanitation to millions of people in need. That’s how every $1 they put into WaterCredit creates $57 worth of impact.
Like all change, start with you and get your house in order by granting your family access to safe drinking water, and then consider supporting water.org with their mission.
By doing so, you make a difference in the lives of others, and your own.
